All you need to know about returning your lease car!
The BVRLA have guidelines for fair wear and tear.
Most lease company's have a 25"mm of damage per wheel policy. This does not mean 25"mm in different parts of the alloy. 25mm of damage but less than a quarter of the wheel is classed as a smart repair which they will charge you £80.00. Damage to more than a quarter of the wheel and the lease company charge for a new alloy.
A badly repaired alloy would also mean you were charged for a replacement alloy, due to substandard repair.
Many smart repair company's say they do diamond cut , but in reality they just paint them silver. Lease inspectors WILL ! class this as a substandard repair.
Remember the more the inspector charges you the more commission he gets!
